Airbrush tanning do have some minor drawbacks to take into consideration.

Airbrush tanning only covers the surface of the skin. Skin cells are shed by the body daily, and as a result, several visits to the salon may be necessary to keep your tan looking perfect.

In addition, since the tanning solution is bonded by surface skin cells, it is advisable to treat your skin gently. Scrubbing with a loofah, using exfoliating cleansers, and engaging in any abrasive methods of grooming will shorten the life of your tan.

Finally, airbrush application time is much longer than simple spray tanning. It can take one to two hours. Even so, airbrush tanning gives a smooth finish and even distribution that cannot be achieved through any other sunless tanning method.
